Department History
The Physiotherapy dept came into existence in the 1980s through the effort of a visiting Canadian Physiotherapist, it has evolved over the years to it present status of 5 specialty areas namely; Neurology-mental health unit, Orthopedic unit, Paediatric unit, Women's health unit and Cardiopulmonary unit. The other units in the pipeline are Geriatric unit, Ergonomics and Sports unit and Community physio unit.
The department is an MRTB accredited center for internship.
The department provides Physiotherapy services for in-patients, out-patients and on first contact basis.
