Dr. Dauda E. SULEIMAN

The department officially came into existence in 2019 in preparation for receiving the first set of Medical students into the clinical phase of their training. Before then, it was one of the major units under the dept of Laboratory Services. The pioneer HOD was Prof. SANI MALAMI, who steered the affairs of the department until 2023. The department is populated by a heterogeneous mix of well trained staff that include Pathologists and Pathology residents, Medical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Mortuary Attendants and others. The department offers histology, Cytology and autopsy/mortuary Services and also is involved in teaching and various collaborative research.
